- Can’t find a ferry? It is usually in port: berthed ships overlap on the map. Zoom in on the port of Dover or Calais to separate them.
- A few minutes behind. Positions come from each ship’s AIS transponder and can lag by a few minutes.
- Several ferries at once. The crossing takes around 90 minutes, so at busy times you will see several ferries mid-Channel.
- A familiar ship under a new name. Oscar Wilde used to sail this route for P&O as Spirit of Britain.
